Okay, I admit. This place doesn't seem so bad. Just a couple modifications here and there. Anyway, that's not the important part. Got a question here for all you.

Does this place have any that shoots beams?

[17 waves his hand. Oh well, he's bound to find that information sooner or later. But ice, he's never seen a beam like that. Least it perks his interest.]

That he is. Red! [17 shifts his eyes to one side as he calls his pokemon. The bird obeys and flies up. It suddenly drops down from the screen and perches on the man's arm. 17's shoulder shifts slightly by the pinch of the bird's claw. He was once an android, okay? Skarmory ducks his head down to get a better view of the screen.]

[Her own Skarmory lets out a screeching metal-on-metal squawk of interest, leaning further over Tenten's shoulder to get a better look -- in the process pushing the younger girl out of the picture entirely.]

Feng! Get out of the video already, would you?! [The Skarmory just taps his beak against the 'gear screen.]

Yes, some Pokémon can learn how to do that! There are a few different types of beam moves... Off the top of my head, I can think of BubbleBeam, SolarBeam, and Hyper Beam.

I'm pretty sure it's a Normal-Type move, so it doesn't really have an element.

Then only Normal-Types can learn it.

I think it's possible for some Pokémon that aren't Normal-Type to learn it, too, actually!

Hyper Beam, Solarbeam, Bubble Beam, Psybeam, Signal Beam, Ice Beam, Aurora Beam, Charge Beam... take your pick.

[He snickers, turning his camera on his very skinny Dragonite, who grins before unleashing a bright blast of light from his mouth.]

Some Pokémon learn beam attacks by leveling up, others from TMs and tutors. Out of all of them, Solarbeam's probably the toughest to come by without a grass type; the TM's unbuyable, and I'm still not sure where mine came from.

[If his hand wasn't occupied, he'd be clapping. A whistle will have to do. It even caught Skarmory's attention back there. Skarmory flew in close to perch on 17's shoulder before he could drop his head closer to the screen. Just watching this makes him misses his own beams.]

Hyper Beam. It's one of the tougher beams out there, but it requires a recharge after use, and it's normal type.

[Huff. Draco's rather pleased with that beam, trainer! But if you want something a little more practical, fine. Watch as he unleashes a chilly blast at a nearby wall, cloaking it in ice.]

Ice Beam. [He's guessing as Draco shows it.] You would like to learn something like, wouldn't you. [Yes, he's talking to his pokemon. Skarmory let's out a metal squawk of interest.]

Well, it's certainly different from what I had worked with.

Unfortunately, Skarmories can't learn any beams.

[He shrugs. Draco, in the mean time, lets out a boisterous laugh. That's right, bird-brain! He's got the real moves. No metal-head could even dream of reaching his level of skills.]
